Afterwork: Oslo Interact

Moderating the evening’s social session is Gabriella Mikiewicz, founder of the community and popular Instagram account Unlock Norway. As a social impact and communications professional who has worked and lived in 9 countries, Gabriella has experienced what it’s like to be a newcomer, and what it’s like to feel isolated and lonely. Upon moving to Norway almost 2 years ago, she recognized the need for more grassroots efforts to bring together internationals and locals alike, and thus created Unlock Norway. At this Talent Smash event, Gabriella will present about her experience unlocking the country she now calls home, and give actionable steps and advice to develop your social network.

Oslo Interact will be a fun and inspiring afternoon where you get to connect with like-minded individuals and explore the vibrant social fabric of our city. We will shine a spotlight on various communities and free activities that you can get involved in. Imagine a job fair, but for choirs, running groups, tech-specific meetups, knitting cafes, hiking enthusiasts, and more! Each community or activity will have a brief 2-3 minute pitch on stage, introducing you to what they’re all about and how you can get involved, and then you can individually meet the organizers and other internationals throughout the event.
